The Electronics Technology program, at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Newbern, is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of electronics related businesses, such as computer maintenance, medical electronics, office and business machine repair, and the communications industry. The program covers the entire range of electronics, so that a student completing this training should be able to go into most any field of electronics and have the skills necessary to master that field.
The course is structured so that a beginning student need not have any prior training in electronics. The potential student needs only the basic skills to be able to read and understand the concepts involved and the ability to learn the necessary math. The training consists of both individual and group lectures and hands-on lab experiments.
