Certified Production Technician Instructor (Part-Time)

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Newbern is accepting applications for the position of part-time, Certified Production Technician (CPT) Instructor. The CPT program will allow students to obtain a national certification through the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC).   This program will be taught at the Obion and Lake County Law Enforcement Complex.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of Technical Diploma or equivalent higher education/training with credentials in related field.   
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ related manufacturing work experience.     
Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
Must have ability to interact with adult students.
Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
Must possess above average computer skills

Responsibilities

General Duties:

Provide instruction to students to prepare them to become Certified Production Technicians as outlined by MSSC.
Monitor, grade, and evaluate students’ progress.
Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.

Salary Range

Commensurate with education and experience according to the Tennessee Board of Regents and Tennessee College of Applied Technology guidelines.
